Since IATA Summer 2016 season, the airport system CMN/RBA is qualified fully coordinated ( IATA Level 3).
Rabat / Salé airport is fully coordinated from 06h00 to 23h00 local time : except for Force Majeure cases, any landing or take-off of any aircraft is subject to slot clearance from the designated coordonator of the airport.
Slots are generally in place for airports in the surrounding area of most major events sporting and fashion events, and governmental summits. Every aircraft whether commercial plane or private jet must request in advance, and receive a designated time to depart and arrive into the local airports. . A “slot” is the right to take off or land an aircraft at an airport—in effect, a “reservation” for takeoffs and landings. The authority to take-off or land a single aircraft is referred to as a “slot.” Thus, a round-trip flight to and from an airport requires a pair of slots. Slot machines in airports are notorious for offering the lowest payback of any land-based establishments. Many gamblers will do everything they can to avoid playing slots at an airport because they don’t want to waste their money. Of course, the problem with land-based slot machines is that they don’t display payout percentages.
