Register Your Vehicle

  • Student motor vehicle registration
Parking registration opens Monday July 6, 2020 at noon and closes on Sunday July 19 at noon. You may register after July 19 but your class year will no longer be a factor in the assignment process. The original vehicle registrations from the summer and fall are valid for the spring semester, you do not need to register again. Email hillbh@lafayette.edu if your housing registration changed from your original assignment in the summer.
  • Employee motor vehicle registration
Employees’ current parking hang-tags (leopard print background) are good through the 2020-21 academic year. Please register any new vehicles in the upcoming fiscal year or take this opportunity to register your vehicle now if you do not have a current hang-tag. If your registered vehicle has a leopard print hang-tag with an August 31, 2020 expiration date, there is nothing you need to do but continue to display it when parked on campus.

Off-Campus Parking

Students residing in College or privately owned off-campus housing must register their motor vehicles with the City of Easton Traffic Division and with Lafayette College Public Safety.

Shuttle Bus Service

The Lafayette College Area Transportation (LCAT) shuttles have an expansive schedule that connects the main campus with the College’s athletic fields, the downtown Williams Arts Campus, local shopping areas, movie theaters, and the local bus station. The LCAT Special shuttle also provides transportation between campus and the Lehigh Valley International Airport (LVIA) on designated days. Check out the liveonline tracking system to see where the LCAT shuttles are right now. You can also access it on your mobile device no matter where you are by clicking the “Shuttle” button on the Lafayette College mobile homepage.

A partnership announced in February 2019 between the College and the Lehigh and Northampton Transit Authority (LANta) provides transportation at no cost to current students, faculty and staff with a valid Lafayette College ID (scanned when boarding). LANta bus service operates 363 days a year and provides reliable and consistent access to the Easton Bus Terminal, with stops along Cattell Street on College Hill as well as the Giant Plaza and Weis Market in Forks Township using Route Number 214. In addition to these routes, members of the Lafayette community may board any LANta bus, making the entire Lehigh Valley accessible.

LANta bus routes can be viewed online and there is a live bus tracker to see where the bus is in real time. LANta, which operates mostly hybrid buses in the Easton area, also has an easy to use app, available for iPhone and Android.

The snow is the same.
The Ski Bus isn't.
Here's what you can do to stay safe.

Stay Safe this Ski Season

The ski season is almost here, and we know you're excited to get out of the house to enjoy the outdoors and Utah’s amazing ski resorts. UTA’s priority during the COVID-19 pandemic has always been the safety of our riders and employees, so we will be implementing additional safety measures for Ski Bus service to help you stay safe all season long.
These efforts include limiting the number of riders per bus, enforcing mask wearing at all times, and creating socially distanced lines at key bus stops. With these safety measures in place, riders should expect greater delays getting to the resorts. Things might be a little different this season, but you’ll still be able to hit the slopes and enjoy the greatest snow on earth.
Many of the ski resorts are also implementing safety measures such as social distancing their parking, creating reservation systems and discouraging carpooling.
UTA’s efforts to ensure your safety on the Ski Bus include the following:

Here is how you can help:

We expect greater delays due to these safety measures and an increase in canyon traffic. To help, we will be monitoring ridership daily and working with the ski resorts to get riders to and from the resorts as effectively as possible. Plan ahead and take advantage of our recommended low peak days, times, routes and parking below to minimize those delays. So, while the way you get to the slopes might have changed, we’re confident that you’re going to have just as much fun as always once you arrive.
Before you leave, download the transit app (Click Here) to plan your trip; check bus crowds; or get alerts on canyon closures, accidents or avalanches.
We’ll see you on the Ski Bus!
